Vet help may be necessary for these dogs at any time, because the breed is susceptible to a number of health disorders. Many dogs of this breed are couch potatoes and put on weight easily. Their owners have to exercise them regularly and help them stay fitter. Too much exercise is also bad for this breed, because joints and bones of these dogs may be hurt.
